**Katy, I just love this! I read your book and bought several copies as gifts :)Thank you for looping me in. You are an engaging writer and I love these stories! Love, Jaime S.
**Katy, I got to meet some of the Snowbird demonstration team while on a "mission" with Gary, probably summer of 1972, to fly to Malmstrom AFB, MT and park our Ea-6B on the flight line as a static display for the Malmstrom air show. At least I think Gary was the pilot. Long time ago. John G.
**So very sad to know my dear friend, who I love so much, went through such low dark times. Yet, the fruit of the Holy Spirit reflected in you now tells me you are now, and have been for many years, more than an overcomer in Christ Jesus. Sherry T.
** Good morning, Katy! I just LOVE your writing style! Sitting with my coffee and your latest chapter, and this line made me think: "There have been times when I’ve counted as many as fifteen eagles sitting in their nests when low ceilings kept them home featherbedding their little ones." Is it true that the eagles cannot fly when the cloud cover is low because the moisture makes for sluggish flight? Just curious! Gerri W.
**Your story beautifully captures the stunning scenery and the thrill of flying in such a picturesque area. It must have been an incredible experience to train and fly over the San Juan Islands!
Bing: Your story beautifully captures the mix of nerves and excitement that comes with a first solo flight. It’s
a significant milestone for any pilot! Bing.
**For anyone wishing to read about love stories, the beauty of faith and fate, and adventures in exotic foreign lands, this is definitely a book to dive into. A marvelous read, and a generous gift from Katy!
**Her narrative style is so rich and honest, so filled with love and hope, that one cannot help but feel those things while reading. It warms my heart greatly to know she has today a full and happy life, in spite of the tragedies she has endured, and that her faith remains steadfastly intact.
**I loved being able to learn more about Dave's journey with the Royal Jordanian Falcons competitive aerobatic team--how the King of Jordan, after watching Dave perform his spectacular airshow routine, personally requested Dave come to Jordan to train the pilots, and then all the wrinkles and hiccups that attended that massive undertaking. The thing that truly shines through, however, is the tremendous gift that Katy considered the entire experience--even with the dreadful tragedy that occurred.
**Perfect Title! By Debra Knepper on March 27, 2010 Perfect Paperback Katy Rovetto's book, of her life with the "Flying Professor" Dave Rahm, is a delightful journey into the more spectacular chapters of Dr. Rahm's life; I was blessed to have known the man himself when I was a teenager, learning from him the art as well as the science of flight in a small Pacific Northwest town. He always seemed "bigger than life" to me, and Katy's memoir reminded me so well of that aspect of Dave--it seems to have been her experience, too! But with her deeper and more intimate relationship came an understanding of the deeper man: a man of deep commitment, passion and joy. She shares this so openly and generously in the book, illustrating the genesis of their friendship, and then their love--of flying, and of each other.
